• On September 2, 2023, at 11:50 a.m. IST, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched its Aditya L1 mission from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The project is India's first solar mission, and it will investigate the Sun's atmosphere and corona.


• The Aditya L1 mission's successful launch is a proud moment for India. It is a credit to the ISRO team's hard work and dedication. The mission will aid in our understanding of the Sun and its effects on Earth, as well as pave the path for future solar missions.


• The Aditya L1 spacecraft weighs 1,500 kg and is outfitted with seven scientific equipment. The equipment will investigate the Sun's magnetic field, atmosphere, and corona. The expedition will also look into how solar activity affects the Earth's atmosphere and climate.


• The Aditya L1 spacecraft will be launched into a halo orbit around the Sun-Earth L1 point, which is a location in space where the Sun's and Earth's gravitational forces cancel each other out. This orbit will allow the spacecraft to maintain a constant position relative to the Sun, allowing it to investigate the Sun's atmosphere in real time.



• The Aditya L1 mission will continue for five years. During this time, the spacecraft will gather a massive amount of information on the Sun. This information will aid scientists in their understanding of the Sun's behavior and its consequences on Earth.
