A new era of space tourism begins : Vergin galactic

Virgin Galactic is an American spaceflight firm formed by Richard Branson and the Virgin Group conglomerate, in which Virgin Investments Limited holds an 11.9% share. It is based in New Mexico and has its headquarters in California. The business is constructing commercial spacecraft with the goal of providing space travelers with suborbital space flights.

The suborbital spacecraft of Virgin Galactic are launched from beneath the carrier plane White Knight Two. The spaceship, designated VSS Unity, is propelled to an altitude of more than 50 miles (80 kilometers) by a rocket motor that fires for nearly 60 seconds. Passengers experience weightlessness for a few minutes and may view the curvature of the Earth. The spaceship then returns to Earth and touches down on a runway.

The first commercial space trip by Virgin Galactic took place on June 29, 2023. The mission was crewed by six people, including four Italian scientists and two pilots. The trip was a success, and the spacecraft safely returned to Earth.

Virgin Galactic has two space trips planned for August 2023:

• Galactic 02: This will be Virgin Galactic's second commercial spaceflight. It will travel to space with three private passengers. On August 10, 2023, the flight window will open.

• Unity 23: This flight will be used for research purposes by the University of Florida. It will transport six passengers, four researchers and two pilots. On August 25, 2023, the flight window will open.

• Virgin Galactic has done numerous additional test flights since then, and the business is now accepting commercial flight reservations. Individual tickets start at $450,000.
